Our advanced equipment incorporates with our newly purchased J&J machine to enable no stitch small incision phacoemulsification to be performed under Zeiss operating microscopy with simultaneous refractive correction.
The majority of cataract procedures may be safely and comfortably provided under topical (eye drop) anaesthesia. Hence patients will not be required to receive eye injections or to undergo general anaesthesia unless specially requested.
Cataract surgery may be carried out as a day procedure in the comfortable operating suite located on the first floor of the WYCEC. WYCEC is now proud to introduce 'Micro-Incision Cataract Surgery (MICS)' with its innovative 2.2mm wound size offering our patients an option for safer surgery with shorter post-operative recovery
The intraocular lenses available at WYCSEC cater to a wide range of individual financial and specific ocular needs. We generally provide foldable monofocal (Tecnis) and multifocal (Synergy) lenses imported from overseas and marketed by the well known Johnson & Johnson’s Tecnis family of intraocular lens.
Our diagnostic suite located on the ground floor is able to provide special services and testing that includes the following:
|
Immersion Mode A-scan Ultrasound Biometry |
